Concept 1 (In your own words) (2 marks)
Trade is an important concept among the indigenous people of Northwestern North America. Consequently, through trade links, cultural imperative plants are documented for neighboring areas and British Columbia from archaeologic, ethnographical and ancient records. Therefore, trade has encouraged exchange of commodities and plant resources between communities. Trade is a significant factor among the indigenous people of Northwestern North America because of the exchange of knowledge and technologies between them.
Concept 2 (In your own words) (2 marks)
Plant exchange is a significant factor to the people of Northwestern. Plant exchange between communities have led to evenly distribution of scarcely plant resources. Plant exchange contributed to exchange of plant knowledge between non-indigenous and indigenous people. The people of North western were able to have even distribution of scarcely plant resources, food and medicinal plants.
Concept 3 (In your own words) (2 marks)
Cultural aspect was an imperative factor which contributed hugely to the trade between communities. Culture enabled exchange of medicinal plants between certain people in Northwestern North America. Cultural aspects led to an even distribution of people’s resources and land. Through intermarriages and interchange of linguistics and culture, there was high variety of commodities in the communities that satisfied the taste and preference of the community

According to the article of “Origin Free Trade” there was unfamiliarity on the cause of dramatic circumstances on the direct trade of goods that led to interchanges of culture. However, interchanges of culture brought cultural, linguistic and commodities exchange rather than dramatic circumstances as explained in the article.

In the Article of “Origin Free Trade” it was believed that information was diffused from one community to the other. However, information is passed from one person to the other and understood but not diffused as discussed about in the article.

According to the article “Origin Free Trade” Free trade is a major significant factor among indigenous people of North western North America. Through free trade between communities, allocation of scarcely commodities was evenly distributed among the people. Moreover, free trade ensured that there was greater variety of commodities among the residence which satisfied the taste and preference of the people.
