I have recently graduated from a nursing program. . There before, I was working as a medical assistant for thirteen years but I have always had a passion for nursing. Therefore, having undergone the training of a nurse, I wish to apply for a Registered Nurse Internship in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) that will help me learn the duties of a nurse, foster my skills, gain confidence, improve my leadership skills, and most importantly grow my nursing profession.

The internship means a lot to me since throughout my life I always wanted to make a difference in people’s lives. Thus, to create the personal and emotional connection with my patients, I chose to pursue a career in nursing. Accordingly, having the opportunity to work as a nurse in your healthcare organization will be of immense assistance to me and to the patients I will be serving. Given the experience that I have in the medical field, I believe it will greatly help me and the hospital deliver quality services to the patients. Incorporating my knowledge, skills, training, and experience, I believe that this opportunity will be of great assistance to me, as it will help me in gaining the practical knowledge and confidence.
I believe that am the best candidate for the position of an ICU-Nurse internship since I have a passion in helping others. I always find a fulfilling joy whenever I play a part in the recovery journey of a patient. , Being a medical assistant in my previousyears, I had the opportunity to work and relate with patients where I enjoyed seeing their health improve and recover fully. . However, there were times where patients who had acute emergencies or were in critical conditions had to be transferred to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). In this case, I did not have the opportunity to provide the much needed care for them because I did not have the necessary training or qualifications to offer care to such patients.
Hence, this ICU- Nurse internship will provide me with the opportunity to work with the patients and see them through their journey of recuperation. Also, through the program I will be able to transition well from a medical assistant to the nursing healthcare system under a hospital setting. In addition, the chance to work with ICU patients will play a significant role as I continue with my passion of caring for others. Therefore, if given the chance to work as an ICU nurse, I promise to work and support your team to ensure that we deliver the best results, and provide the best healthcare for our patients, and meet the organization short and long-term goals.
