Although social problems are a primary factor in health, the cost of healthcare makes it hard for most Americans to get the help they need. Residents in these areas have been unable to access health care due to high healthcare costs. The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) has found that increasing access to healthcare services is essential for improving the health outcomes of low-income families (New RWJF Commission for a Healthier USA Calls for Funding Modifications to Improve the Nation’s Health, 2014). Research suggests three additional suggestions. These include rebuilding communities, expanding caregiving to provide assistance for residents and even expanding access to health services. It is essential to address sociocultural concerns in order for a society to achieve the best health results. This proposal highlights the limitations of current systems in addressing social determinants, which can have an impact on people’s health.
