It improves employees’ career paths by providing coaching, mentoring and succession planning. A tenured employee who has similar credentials and long working hours is the best candidate for internal promotions. A professional who has a large network and extensive experience can improve communication and visibility and make one a valuable business partner (Argote and co., 2018). My communication skills will increase and my network will expand, making my job easier.

It helps to set expectations and establish objectives to help you evaluate the results of your engagement. My SMART goal is to use my communication skills to advance within the company within 3 years. To improve the brand positioning of my company and allow for career advancement, communication is essential.

It is possible to tailor the message according to audience expectations by knowing the audience. Target audience includes HR specialists and senior managers. The senior managers have referential, positional, and expert authority over the career trajectory of an individual (Armstrong &Keller, 2016). A senior manager who is responsible for career communications has over thirty years’ experience within the company, as well as a bachelor’s degree. Sher is a black mother to two children. My HR professional has been working with the organisation for 14 years and is only two years younger than I. The senior manager and I enjoy a great relationship. I can easily engage in conversations. I often get suggestions from the senior manager on ways to improve my work life. Since we have not collaborated, I do not have any connection to the HR professional. The senior manager and HR personnel are familiar with my expertise due to the shared résumé and prior encounters. She has witnessed my growth and knows my talent and potential. For the position I have, she interviewed me. People will soon get to know me better and it is easier for them to build rapport with me.
