Samantha’s reply
The Ishikawa diagram, the five whys and the Ishikawa formula can be used to pinpoint the problem’s root cause. Learning DMAIC will enhance your decision-making skills. Samantha is right when she says that the DMAIC method allows a person understand the link between cost and effect by deconstructing problems. The DMAIC approach provides additional tools for team building and can be used to enhance team performance. Truckman’s process can be used to improve norming and conduct operations. Stakeholders’ continuous and open communication is key to the DMAIC process. Samantha rightly identifies communication is a critical aspect of conflict resolution. Managers should encourage stakeholder engagement and implement 360-degree feedback to foster communication (Steenkamp 2017, 2017). DMAIC allows objective assessment and measurement. Samantha will need to strengthen DMAIC operations with SIPOC, Ishikawa and other management tools.
Davis is Rebutted
DMAIC allows a person the ability to identify fundamental causes and effects. Problem-tree, Ishikawa Diagram, 5H-1W and five Whys can be used to identify the problem-causing variables, as well as how to deal with them. Davis’s statement that DMAIC is essential for communication and feedback comprehension proves accurate. Open communication between stakeholders improves clarity, teamwork, team cohesion, and members’ rapport (Kinicki & Fugate, 2020). Garden Deport is a case study that illustrates the negative effects of fractured and disorganized communication. Because of their differing interests, managers were less likely to cooperate with each other due to lacks in collaboration, compromise, cooperation and skills. Managers are required to use Tuckman’s Forming, Normalizing, and Performing paradigm in order to encourage cooperation (Modern 2016,). Davis is right to assert that early resolution of disagreements is key for maximising synergy, and avoiding escalated situations.
