Humanity has seen great progress in technology over the last 20 years. It has in some instances fundamentally altered human behavior. For example, it has changed how we see things.
Our emotional and physical relationships have been greatly diminished by technology. In the beginning, friendships were formed by friends who met up at rec centers. Because of their emotional connections, this was possible. Social media is now used to teach children how to communicate with other people. It’s a false friendship, as there isn’t an emotional bond. Their socializing skills have been affected by the lack of a physical bond between them. (Crabb G, 2013).
Technology has also affected patience. The perception that everything can be done quickly via digital platforms such as Google has lead to this belief. People can easily believe these perceptions are automatic and that success depends on speed. Some aspects of success are not like this. People resort to quick cuts to get success. They don’t possess the discipline or patience to finish the job correctly, and they are not reaping the benefits.. (Franklin U, 1999).
A subculture is a cultural group which does not belong to the original group but has an opposing view.
The internet has facilitated communication between members of subcultures.
Technology allows subcultures the opportunity to showcase their ideas, values and art to other cultures. Journals, articles and various media.
Teleconferencing allows people of different cultures and backgrounds to exchange ideas through teleconferencing.
Technology has enabled members of this subculture communicate quicker and more effectively, even though they’re not in the exact same place.
Technology has given one subculture the ability to see what beliefs and values are held by other subcultures. (Bell J, 2010).
Part 2.
Paige Thompson, an engineer from Seattle, broke into Capital One Bank’s systems to access private customer data. You could gain sensitive customer data, such as credit history and names.
In Thompson’s case, the kind of digital evidence that was used in the investigation was her messages that she posted on her twitter handle and her GitHub page.
Self-control theory could explain Paige’s criminal behavior. According to this theory, crime is caused by victim’s inability to control their behavior. Her profile shows that she wasn’t self-controlled. (Best J, 1998)
After hacking U.S. server servers, Ardit Feriz (18 years) was taken into custody. Also, he obtained confidential information about the military that he passed to Islamic State.
Feriz used digital evidence as proof of his innocence. He used his email address to obtain the necessary information for the terrorist group.
According to Feriz, he committed the crime in order to prove his prowess in hacking to his friends. This motivation is best explained by the social control theory. In an effort to improve his social standing with coworkers, a person might commit a crime. (Toby J, 1957).
Anonymous was an anonymous hacker group that attacked the United Nations site in 2020. They also added Taiwan’s flag. Taiwan is not a member of the United Nations.
This case involved digital evidence.
This theory of labeling could help identify why Anonymous may have committed the crime. This theory suggests an individual could be motivated by the description that they receive to commit a crime. (Franklin U, 1999).
Part III
You can find some federal laws to which you may be able to rely upon after an investigation.
Federal immigration law. These regulations decide whether one is allowed to be within the country.
The Federal Bankruptcy Law.
Patent law and copyright
Congress has enacted federal laws which prevent criminal activity, including the law against tax fraud.
Procedure to get a search warrant
Officers provide to the magistrate an affidavit detailing their observations and reasons for conducting a search. The officers might conclude that the property contains evidence of criminal activity. The warrant will be granted after the magistrate examines the evidence. You will also need information regarding the offices and addresses of the persons being searched.
It is necessary to take all evidence including any USBs or cell phones found in the office, home, and office.
Process of extracting evidence and processing it
The first step is identification. It’s important to identify all devices involved in cybercrime, including USBs and phones.
Collection. Collection of evidence devices must be done so that the data held by them is not changed.
The acquisition of evidence. Evidence can be taken from a lab. You can find this evidence by searching key words on the computer for specific terms and looking through folders within your computer drives. Evidence can also be found in your phone logs and folders stored on USB drives.
Preservation. Preservation. It is important that digital evidence be kept in order to allow future use.
Reporting and analysis of the evidence. Analysis of evidence, and preparation of a rapport based on it.
Cybercrime could also be against him. He could be charged with hacking motor vehicle registrations and accessing their data.
The suspect will be charged with identity theft. He will be charged with using false names belonging to another person.
The suspect will be charged with fraud. He will be prosecuted for fraud.
