Please discuss your leadership skills with both interprofessional and inter-professional teams to support changes in nursing, and healthcare, at your place of employment. How have you used those skills as the leader and change agent for your DNP Project? 

As an experienced healthcare professional, I have developed strong leadership skills that have enabled me to effectively collaborate with both interprofessional and inter-professional teams. I am adept at communicating ideas clearly and concisely while being open to feedback from others in order to ensure consensus is reached on any given issue. Furthermore, I possess the organizational and problem solving skills necessary to manage projects efficiently as well as foster a productive environment through my enthusiasm and positive attitude.

I have employed these skills when leading and implementing change initiatives within my place of employment. As a DNP student, I was able to utilize these abilities for my project by leading an effort to improve patient safety practices within our organization. This required me work closely with various stakeholders such as nurses, doctors and administrators in order to develop protocols that would be accepted across all departments. Through this process, I was able to demonstrate effective communication techniques as well as provide guidance on how best implement the proposed changes in order for them take effect smoothly without disruption or delay.
