Week 3 case study 1
Anemia is typically classified into three main categories based on the cause of the condition, namely nutritional, anemia caused by blood loss and anemias resulting from impaired red blood cell production. Nutrition anemia refers to a deficiency in essential nutrients such as iron, folate or vitamin B12 which can lead to decreased hemoglobin levels over time. Anemias due to blood loss commonly arise from medical conditions such as hemorrhage or chronic diseases that require frequent transfusions eventually.
Lastly, impaired red cell production can occur when bone marrow fails produce enough cells which leads towards fewer oxygen-carrying components within one’s body consequently. Although these are the most common types of classification more subtypes may exist based on other factors related to each case accordingly. Overall this general framework helps healthcare professionals identify possible causes accurately thereby leading towards better outcomes overall eventually.
