Literature review matrix | NURS 8110 – Theoretical and Scientific Foundations for Nursing | Walden University
The literature I have reviewed strengthens the merit of my selected theoretical framework and practice problem in several ways. Firstly, it has provided further insight into the underlying principles that are at play in terms of how to effectively utilize the chosen theory when approaching a particular problem. It has also given me additional perspectives from which to analyze the issue and its potential solutions, as well as providing evidence-based approaches which can be used to build a stronger argument for why one approach is more suitable than another. Furthermore, by looking at case studies and research conducted by other experts on similar topics, I am better equipped with an understanding of what works best in certain situations as well as identifying areas where further exploration may be necessary in order to gain a deeper appreciation for the issue being discussed.
Additionally, literature can also help highlight any potential shortcomings or risks associated with utilizing a particular theoretical framework or practice problem. By taking into account any criticisms or counterarguments presented by other authors, this allows me to modify my own approach accordingly while also making sure that I am aware of any red flags that could arise should certain decisions be made without proper consideration beforehand. Ultimately, through careful study and analysis of existing scholarship on my topic I am better able to understand both its merits and weaknesses so that I can make informed decisions going forward.
