Discussion 1: leadership theories in practice
One leader I have seen who exemplifies these behaviors and skills is my current boss. He is responsible for leading a large team of engineers, but he also takes the time to get to know each member on an individual basis and truly values their input in decision making processes. He creates an environment that encourages open dialogue by consistently inviting constructive criticism so everyone can work together to find solutions. Furthermore, he always ensures that everyone is heard while still maintaining authority over the situation when needed.
In addition to this, he also demonstrates strong conflict resolution skills by clearly communicating expectations and providing employees with clear feedback on their performance. Moreover, he pays attention to detail and makes sure that all goals are met within agreed upon deadlines. Overall it has been very inspiring how well his leadership style has enabled our team reach great successes – both big small . By exhibiting such admirable traits this leader certainly sets good example what effective management looks like.
