Nursing research question – discussion board
For my proposed study, measurement methods will include both self-report surveys and physical assessments. The self-report surveys will ask questions related to the patient’s experience with asthma symptoms and overall quality of life. These items will be scored on a Likert scale from 1 to 5, with 1 being not at all satisfied and 5 being extremely satisfied. This type of scoring allows for easy comparison between individual responses as well as providing an overall score which can then be used to track changes in satisfaction levels over time.
The physical assessments portion of the study will involve measuring lung function using spirometry tests and peak flow measurements. These tests are considered reliable and valid measures of respiratory health as they provide quantitative data that can be compared against established standards to determine if there is any impairment or deterioration in lung function due to asthma.
Overall , these instruments important tools helping researchers better understand impact exercise has on those living with this condition . By utilizing them able gain insight into patients actual experiences thus why its integral part developing evidence based interventions maximize benefit received
