Two concepts relevant to the practice of nursing. for phd doctorate
Two concepts that are relevant to my practice of nursing are patient-centered care and evidence-based practice. Patient-centered care is an approach to healthcare that puts the needs, values and preferences of the patient at the center of all decisions. This model acknowledges that each individual’s experience is unique so it requires healthcare providers to take into account factors such as culture or lifestyle when delivering treatment.
Evidence-based practice (EBP) is also essential in providing quality care by ensuring that interventions used are backed up by scientific research. Through EBP clinicians can access current best practices which helps them make informed decisions about treatments while improving patient outcomes and reducing healthcare costs. Both of these concepts emphasize the importance of understanding patients on a deeper level and provide guidance for nurses when choosing how best to meet their needs.
