Personal leadership philosophies | NURS 6053 – Interprofessional Organizational and Systems Leadership | Walden University
My personal leadership philosophy is rooted in the core belief that effective leaders inspire and empower those they lead. To me, a good leader is one who not only has strong technical and interpersonal skills, but also a commitment to life-long learning and growth. As a leader, I strive to be self-aware and reflective, with an understanding of my strengths as well as areas for improvement. Additionally, I prioritize developing relationships with my team members by demonstrating trustworthiness, respectfulness, fairness, empathy and humility. With these traits in mind, I strive to create positive work environments where team members are inspired to grow professionally while feeling supported along their journey. Ultimately, it is my goal that through developing authentic connections between myself and the people I lead will result in the creation of meaningful work output that contributes positively to both our organization’s objectives as well as individual goals.
