Assignment 2: the impact of law
In order to make current laws more effective it is important to analyze the enforcement of those laws first. It could be that better enforcement of existing laws would be sufficient in achieving desired outcomes, or it may require additional amendments for greater effect. If there are specific areas where gaps exist, then additional legal measures should be added to address those concerns.
For example, if a law related to worker safety has not been properly enforced due to lack of resources or personnel, then some form of amendment may need to be made in order to ensure workers are adequately protected in their respective workplaces. This could involve increasing penalties for violations or adding additional services that allow employees access support when they need assistance filing complaints against employers.
Ultimately, by working together and combining both enforcement and legal measures we can increase the effectiveness of our current laws while also ensuring everyone involved is receiving adequate protection under the law.
