Is nursing perceived as a professional partner with other disciplines?

In my current work environment nursing is generally viewed as an important partner with other disciplines such as medicine, public health, and social work. For example, in our organization nurses are actively involved in developing policies related to patient care and participate in interdisciplinary meetings which involve representatives from each of these fields. Additionally, I have also seen nurses take on leadership roles within the organization where they can provide valuable insights into how best to address certain issues.

However, it does appear that there is still room for improvement when it comes to recognizing the importance of nursing as a profession which could include more opportunities for collaboration or encouraging higher levels of education among staff members. Overall though I believe that nursing is increasingly being seen as an essential partner within our healthcare system which will hopefully lead to improved outcomes for patients.
