Performance measures: evaluating the project’s success
The performance measures I will use to measure the success of my informatics solution project are user adoption and satisfaction, cost-benefit analysis, time savings/efficiency gains, and quality improvement. User adoption and satisfaction rates will help me determine how successful the implementation process has been in terms of providing users with a positive experience when using the new system. Cost-benefit analysis will provide an overview of the financial impact of the project on both short-term and long-term budgets which can be used to gauge return on investment.
Time saving or efficiency gains can be measured by tracking how much faster processes are completed after implementing the new system as well as feedback from employees regarding any frustrations they may have experienced prior to its introduction. Finally, quality improvement assessments can help assess any changes in outcomes due to increased accuracy or streamlined workflows that have occurred since introducing the new system. These metrics are important for determining whether or not an organization’s investment into a particular informatics solution was worth it – making them essential for assessing success.
