Family assesment | Nursing homework help
I have chosen to do a family health assessment on the Smith family. The Smiths consist of 4 members – John, Mary, their son Jack and daughter Sarah. John works full-time as an engineer while Mary is a stay-at-home mom taking care of the children and the household. Both Jack and Sarah attend school full-time; Jack focuses mainly on sports while Sarah is more academically inclined.
John sets the tone for most of the decisions in this traditional nuclear family structure meaning he has significant influence over its overall dynamics as well as financial matters. Mary serves as a caring mother figure who provides emotional support to her children and manages day-to-day operations at home. She also plays an important role in helping to make sure that both Jack and Sarah are getting the necessary nutrition, rest, education, and other resources needed for healthy development.
Though there is still some room for improvement when it comes to communication within this family unit, overall each member’s roles remain quite clear which allows them to work together towards achieving common goals with relative ease. By understanding how each individual contributes we can better assess their respective needs so that appropriate resources can be allocated accordingly in order to ensure well being of all involved parties moving forward.
