Nursing and health policy in other nations
One example of a nursing/health-related policy is the “Infection Prevention and Control Policy” developed by the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2019. This policy outlines the measures healthcare facilities and healthcare workers should take to prevent and control the spread of infections in healthcare settings.
The policy covers topics such as hand hygiene, use of personal protective equipment, environmental cleaning, management of blood and bodily fluid spills, and surveillance of healthcare-associated infections. It emphasizes the importance of a “multimodal strategy” that includes education and training, monitoring and feedback, and system change.
