Two examples of formative evaluation methods that can be utilized in health programs include surveys and focus groups.

This type of method can provide valuable insight on topics such as perceptions regarding perceived benefits or expected results which may not have been captured through survey responses alone; this information can then also be used when developing updated plans for future campaigns or initiatives.
