Explain how you were able to narrow down the number of articles hits you had initially, and present within your post a summary of the credible article you chose as your resource. How do you know your article choice is credible? Which database do you prefer and why?

When conducting research on a particular topic, I typically start my search by using the databases available through my school library. In this case, I used EBSCOhost to pinpoint articles related to my topic of interest. This database allowed me to narrow down the number of results by inputting specific criteria such as keyword and date range. Additionally, it also gave me access to various source types such as peer-reviewed journals, magazines and newspapers; in this way I was able to ensure that the information being presented was credible from reliable sources.

After narrowing down my search parameters, I chose an article entitled “Leadership Theory and Nursing Practice” published in 2015 by The Online Journal of Issues in Nursing. This article discusses how leadership theories can be applied in order to enhance nursing practice—specifically through the use of servant leadership. It highlights different strategies for developing effective leaders within healthcare organizations which can help improve patient outcomes while also addressing staff concerns.

Overall I prefer using EBSCOhost due its wide range of content options as well as its ability to refine searches according to specific criteria. This allows me easily find relevant articles quickly and with confidence knowing that they are coming from trusted sources.
