Lack of insurance factors and effect
The lack of health insurance can have serious consequences when it comes to an individual’s well being! Without the ability to pay for medical services , preventative measures and treatments may go unnoticed leading to potential complications down the line. Additionally , research has shown that those who do not possess insurance are at greater risk of mortality & worse overall outcomes even with similar diagnosis & severity levels compared with their counterparts who do (American Academy Of Social Work & Social Welfare, 2021).
Overall , these statistics make it clear that inadequate health care coverage is still a major issue in today’s society ! By understanding what contributes towards people’s lack of insurance and its implications on health care one can gain further perspective which may help inform future policy decisions .
