Evidence-based practice and change model
In order to utilize the model to implement an evidence-based practice change in my personal clinical practice environment, I would begin by identifying a problem or area of improvement that could benefit from new strategies. This could involve researching any existing guidelines for best practices or assessing patient data to observe areas for potential growth. Once this has been determined, I would select and critique relevant research studies related to the problem at hand and combine them with best judgment to create a plan for action.
The next step would be designing, planning, and piloting this change into practice on a small scale before larger rollouts take place; this will allow time for necessary adjustments if unforeseen complications arise. Afterwards , effective integration &sustaining changes requires ongoing monitoring &evaluation coupled with open communication between all stakeholders during each step of this process . Every effort should then be made to ensure that patients receive quality care while remaining compliant with established protocols.
By following these steps one can effectively implement changes based on EBP into their clinical practice environment which can ultimately lead to improved outcomes &better patient satisfaction.
