Explain the difference between variable and full costing.

Variable costing, also known as direct costing, is a method of cost accounting that only takes into consideration the variable production costs associated with making a product. Variable costs include raw materials and any labor or other resources directly tied to producing a particular item. This approach does not take into account fixed overhead expenses such as rent or insurance, which are not directly tied to production activities.

Full costing, on the other hand, is an alternative method of cost accounting that factors in both variable and fixed overhead costs when calculating the total cost of producing a good or service. This approach gives a more accurate representation of the actual cost of production since it takes into account all expenses incurred throughout the entire process rather than just focusing on one specific stage.ts me American values, such as individualism and self-reliance.

The Filipina woman I interviewed shared that one of the biggest cultural barriers she faced was her inability to express herself freely when interacting with people from different backgrounds. She said that because she felt so connected to Filipino culture, she often had difficulty expressing her thoughts and feelings in a way that other cultures could understand. In contrast, my own experience has been quite different since I did not feel as strongly connected to Indian culture growing up. As a result, I have had more success in communicating with people from various cultures and backgrounds.

Overall, it was interesting comparing my experiences with those of another person who also had an immigrant background but experienced very different cultural influences growing up. It inspires me to become better at understanding and empathizing with individuals from all kinds of backgrounds, including those vastly different than my own.
