Nrs-433v module 5 dq 1
Research-based practice is becoming increasingly important in the nursing field as it helps ensure that nurses are providing quality care and making informed decisions based on evidence rather than intuition. In my workplace, this has been implemented by encouraging nurses to further their research skills through reading medical journals and attending seminars related to their specialty. This not only allows them to be better informed about current trends and developments in healthcare but also gives them access to resources that can help inform their practice.
Furthermore, our facility has recently invested in an electronic health record system which provides staff with easy access to patient data such as lab results or vital signs. This enables us to make more accurate decisions when diagnosing or treating patients since we can quickly compare previous information against current findings. Additionally, we have incorporated a continuous improvement strategy into our workflow which requires us to continuously review existing protocols and update them accordingly based on new developments.
Overall, my workplace is taking several steps towards adopting a research-based practice which will ultimately lead to improved patient outcomes while allowing nurses greater autonomy in decision making. By having access to reliable sources of data, we can be confident that our practices are up-to-date with industry standards and provide the best possible care for our clients.
