Given the current legislation surrounding healthcare practice, I would recommend that healthcare organizations review their policies and procedures to ensure they are in compliance with all applicable laws. This includes ensuring that any patient data is properly stored and protected, processes for obtaining informed consent from patients are followed properly, privacy policies are up to date, and financial practices meet all relevant regulations. Additionally, providers should be aware of any changes or updates to existing laws so as to best protect their own interests as well as those of their patients.

On a personal level, this legislation affects my practice by requiring me to maintain certain standards when providing care. For example, I must obtain informed consent before performing any treatment on a patient; must keep detailed records of all encounters; adhere to HIPAA guidelines when collecting and handling personal information; and follow established protocols for billing insurance companies. By understanding these legal requirements I can ensure that my practice remains compliant while still providing quality care to every patient who visits my office.
