The second implication is related to the idea of digital divide between those who have access to the latest technologies versus those who do not. The documentary highlighted this issue by showing how people living in rural areas were often unable to take advantage of new digital platforms due to limited access and resources available to them compared to urban populations. This can create disparities when it comes to quality of life and economic opportunities which will further widen existing gaps in wealth and income between different segments within society.
Finally, another implication from the documentary was around trust and privacy issues surrounding data collection by tech companies. With more and more data being collected without proper regulation or oversight there is an increased risk that people’s personal information could be used in ways they had not intended or expected, resulting in a lack of trust among consumers towards these companies which could be detrimental for their long term success.
