Two corporations that have successfully dealt with cannibalization are Apple and Microsoft. In the case of Apple, the company utilized its strong brand presence to differentiate its products from competing offerings by offering unique features/designs which could not be found elsewhere – thus minimizing any potential negative impact on sales.
Microsoft took a different approach when it came to tackling this issue however; their strategy involved launching more targeted advertising campaigns aimed at specific customer segments as oppose to promoting all their products together. This allowed them to focus resources more effectively & ensure that each product received adequate exposure moving forward.
Overall then it is clear that both companies adopted distinct strategies when addressing cannibalization – but ultimately succeeded in mitigating any potential losses due to their effective planning & execution going forwards.
