Specifically – Kantian ethics states that individuals must always strive for autonomy, treat others as ends-in-themselves and act according to universalizable principles. Therefore – in order for the researchers’ behavior to be considered moral – they should ensure that all participants are given full disclosure about the risks involved in their research and are not coerced into participating against their will.
Ultimately – understanding how different ethical theories can impact decision making is essential when striving towards moral conduct! By familiarizing themselves with these techniques – individuals can ensure they are taking an ethical approach when confronted with difficult situations; ultimately leading us closer towards achieving justice, equity and fairness for all.
