Practice: types of controls scenario
The three types of controls that are used by managers are feedforward, concurrent, and feedback. Feedforward control is a proactive approach to management in which potential issues are identified before they arise and preventative measures taken to address them before they become actual problems. For example, a manager could carry out regular health checks of the team’s work environment or set up automated systems for data collection that alert them when something is amiss. Concurrent control focuses on monitoring processes while they occur in order to ensure that everything is going as planned. This can be done through real-time tracking tools such as dashboards or reports which provide continuous updates about various activities underway across different departments within the organization. Lastly, feedback control involves reviewing past performance levels and making adjustments accordingly so that any shortcomings can be addressed quickly and effectively. It helps managers identify where improvements need to be made in order for operations to run more smoothly in the future and also serves as an effective tool for measuring success against predetermined goals or objectives over time. All these controls together help create an efficient system of management with clear oversight of all activities which ultimately leads to improved organizational productivity overall
