Through my research, I found several gaps in knowledge regarding the impact of technology on nursing practice. Specifically, there is a lack of understanding around how technology can be used to improve patient care and outcomes, as well as how nurses can best integrate it into their daily practice. Additionally, there is limited evidence on the effectiveness of different technologies for different patient populations and conditions.

These gaps in knowledge have the potential to significantly affect nursing practice by limiting nurses’ ability to effectively utilize technology in order to provide high quality care that meets patients’ individual needs and preferences. Additionally, without a better understanding of how different technologies work and which ones are most effective for certain patient populations or conditions, nurses may be more likely to rely solely on traditional methods of providing care which could lead to less favorable patient outcomes.
