Assignment 2: competiveness and performance effectiveness for health
A successful CIO should possess strong analytical skills as well as an in-depth knowledge of IT architecture and security protocols. Additionally, they should be able to identify opportunities for cost savings or streamlined processes by using existing systems more effectively or integrating new software into their infrastructure when necessary. Lastly, they must have excellent communication skills in order to bridge the gap between clinical staff members who might not understand technology jargon and IT personnel who provide technical support.
Similarly, a successful CTO should have a strong background in computer science as well as experience implementing cutting edge technologies such as artificial intelligence or virtual reality applications. They should also be able to develop prototypes quickly in order to test out potential solutions before rolling them out on a larger scale. Additionally, they must possess excellent problem solving skills in order troubleshoot any issues that may arise along with being comfortable engaging with stakeholders across multiple departments.
Ultimately though both roles play important parts within health organizations so understanding how each one contributes towards achieving goals is essential making sure everything runs smoothly on a day-to-day basis while still providing patients with top notch care.
