In order to serve more people who are considered vulnerable populations it is important that qualifications for both Medicare and Medicaid benefits are modified in ways that allow for greater access. This could include expanding eligibility requirements by reducing income limits or eliminating stipulations related to immigration status as well as providing subsidies or cost sharing assistance so individuals can better afford coverage even if they have limited resources.
