Module 05 discussion – healthcare solutions
In order to improve healthcare on a global scale, countries should both focus inwardly and look outward in order to share resources. Focusing inwardly involves addressing issues within each individual nation’s healthcare system such as access to care or disparities that exist between rural and urban areas. This can be achieved by implementing policies that strive for equity in health outcomes and creating opportunities for meaningful engagement with all stakeholders involved.
Meanwhile, looking outward encourages collaboration across borders which can help build capacity and knowledge sharing. Through this process, countries can exchange best practices regarding healthcare innovations or pool resources together in order to address disease outbreaks among vulnerable populations. Ultimately, utilizing both of these tactics will provide the greatest potential for improving global healthcare systems over time.
