Assignment 2 business and society
Since last year, our company’s Code of Conduct has undergone several changes in order to ensure the organization is abiding by all applicable laws and regulations. This includes strengthening guidelines for conflicts of interest to prevent any potential unethical behavior or corruption, instituting stricter policies regarding financial reporting and accounting procedures, as well as introducing new protocols related to data privacy and security.
Additionally, there have been updates made to our whistleblower protection program in order to better protect employees from retaliation if they report violation of ethical standards. Furthermore, we have also revised our anti-harassment policies with a greater emphasis on promoting an inclusive work environment free from discrimination or harassment based on gender identity, race, sexual orientation or other protected characteristics. Lastly, the code now contains more specific language outlining expectations for employee conduct which ensures everyone is held accountable regardless of their position within the company.
