For this two-way ANOVA without replication, I chose to analyse the effects of gender on a person’s ability to solve complex problems. This variable was chosen as it is an important factor when it comes to evaluating one’s potential – both in terms of their educational prospects but also in terms of getting ahead professionally.

The results show that there is a significant difference between males and females when it comes to solving complex problems; male participants were found to be more proficient which suggests that gender can play an important role in cognitive tasks requiring abstract thinking.

It is interesting to note however that further research should be conducted in order to gain a better understanding of why these differences exist; for example cultural expectations or even biological factors may need to be taken into consideration so we can gain a fuller picture. It is also worth noting that any conclusion drawn from such tests should be used with caution as each individual has their own unique set of abilities and circumstance – meaning no single test can accurately measure intelligence levels across genders.

In conclusion it appears that gender does have some influence on problem solving skills although further investigation would still need to take place before definitive conclusions could be made; regardless of the findings however everyone should always strive towards achieving their full potential regardless of whether they are male or female.
