Assignment 1 paper | Business & Finance homework help
Organizational culture is shaped by the policies, practices and behaviors of an organization. Policies refer to written rules or guidelines that are put in place to guide decision-making within an organization. Practices refer to how those policies are actually implemented on a day-to-day basis, such as through hiring processes, management styles and performance standards. Finally, behaviors refer to how employees interact with each other within the workplace, including attitude towards their work and colleagues.
A cohesive organizational culture can be created by ensuring that all of these elements are aligned and consistent with one another. Policies should be clear and concise so they can be easily understood and followed; practices should be fair and equitable so everyone has equal opportunity for success; finally, behavior should be positive so there is respect amongst team members regardless of differences in opinion or background. Additionally, communication between management and employees must also be open so that any issues can be addressed quickly before they escalate into bigger problems down the road. By taking steps to establish a cohesive organizational culture based on these parameters , organizations will have greater chances for long term success as their teams become more unified towards shared objectives.
