Ethical principles that influence you personally and professionally.

Personally, I strive to adhere to the ethical principles of honesty, trustworthiness, responsibility, fairness, respect and integrity in both my professional and personal life. Honesty is essential in any relationship, whether with colleagues or family. As such, I always strive to be transparent and truthful in all interactions. Trustworthiness is another key principle which involves being reliable and consistent when it comes to fulfilling commitments and expectations. Responsibility is important as well because it means taking ownership of one’s actions and being accountable for them. Fairness entails treating everyone equally regardless of their background while respecting each individual’s unique beliefs. Finally, integrity is a core value that requires staying true to oneself even when faced with difficult decisions.

Professionally, these same principles still apply but some may take on different signficance depending on the workplace context. For example, responsibility might mean following company protocols and procedures even if one disagrees with them whereas fairness could involve adhering to laws and regulations that are set out by governing bodies/agencies.
