My research topic is the effects of social media on mental health. For my data collection tool, I will create an online survey. The survey will consist of multiple-choice and open-ended questions that ask participants to rate how they feel about their use of various social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube. Questions will focus on topics such as: frequency of usage; type of content consumed; feelings after viewing certain types of content; amount of time spent engaging in activities related to social media; satisfaction with the amount and quality of interactions made through various platforms, etc.

In addition to these questions, I also plan to include demographic information such as age, gender and location so that I can compare responses across different groups. Since this survey is intended for a wide audience, it will be available online via a website or mobile application.
