Theoretical framework model | Nursing homework help
The theoretical model or framework for my intended project is grounded in qualitative research, which consists of methods to gain an understanding of experiences, perspectives and beliefs related to a particular phenomenon. To this end, I will use semi-structured interviews and focus groups as primary research approaches. Semi-structured interviews are useful because they provide some structure while allowing space for the participants to share their experiences freely and openly. Focus groups allow me to understand how the participants interact with each other in regards to their opinions on the topic and get a better sense of the collective perspective which may be different from individual ones.
In addition, I plan to use document reviews such as policy documents, scholarly articles, survey results etc., as secondary data sources. Document review allows me to cross reference my findings from interviews/focus groups as well as gain additional insight into relevant topics that were not discussed in depth during the interview process.
Overall, these approaches will help me understand how people experience or perceive changes in their lives due to a particular event/phenomenon which is important for understanding any given issue more holistically. The combination of primary (interviews & focus group) & secondary (document reviews) data collection will provide me with more reliable results that can inform further analysis and be usedfor making meaningful conclusions about issues at hand.
