Nursing philosphy | Nursing homework help
My nursing philosophy is to continually strive for excellence in both my professional and personal journey. I believe it is important to engage in lifelong learning and growth, challenge myself to be the best nurse possible, and embrace a holistic approach to patient care.
I view my role as a nursing student as an opportunity for me to gain knowledge and skills that will help me become an effective practitioner. My focus is on providing compassionate, patient-centered care with a focus on the whole person: mind, body, spirit, and environment.
It is essential to create therapeutic relationships with patients that are mutually respectful while also engaging them in their care plan by allowing them autonomy over their decisions whenever appropriate. I strive to promote health literacy so my patients can make informed choices about their care plans; this includes open communication between myself and the patient so they understand what I am asking of them.
As a nurse, it’s crucial for me to stay current on evidence-based practice guidelines while maintaining sensitivity towards cultural differences amongst all populations so I may provide culturally competent care that meets individual needs. I view adverse events not only as teaching moments but also opportunities for reflection upon our healthcare system’s shortcomings which can lead us toward improving future outcomes based on research evidence gathered from such incidents.
By incorporating these values into my nursing practice, I aim to act with integrity when approaching each situation along with acknowledging the biopsychosocial aspects of patienthood that should be taken into consideration during treatment planning discussions in order ensure quality outcomes from those who place trust in me during times of need.
