Program evaluation | Nursing homework help
The Theory of Reasoned Action (TRA) is an evaluation theory or model that is most appropriate to support my program plan. This theory was developed in the social psychology field by Ajzen and Fishbein in 1975. The TRA examines attitudes, subjective norms, and behavioral intentions to predict behavior. It assumes that people behave according to their intention which is based on their attitude towards a certain behavior as well as perceived social pressure or subjective norm.
This theory has been applied in fields other than nursing, such as health promotion and marketing research. In health promotion, it can be used to assess the impact of interventions on individuals’ beliefs about health behaviors and how these beliefs influence behavior change. In marketing research, TRA can be used to identify customer preferences relating to products and services, understand how these perceptions influence attitude formation and purchasing decisions, as well as incorporating values into product design processes for better customer engagement with the brand.
