Hlt-324v week 4 assignment case study-through the eyes of the patient
As a health care professional, my role in supporting Abby or Shanti’s dying rituals is to be an advocate for their wishes and ensure that they have full autonomy over their decisions during this difficult time. This includes respecting any cultural and religious beliefs they may hold while still providing quality care. Additionally, I can help create strategies such as establishing open communication with the patient and family to better understand the rituals related to death that are important to them and how best to accommodate these needs while providing optimal medical treatment. I can also provide education about the importance of allowing the patient autonomy over their own choices regarding end-of-life care and provide emotional support throughout this process.
