21st century hospital | Business & Finance homework help
Our hospital’s organizational structure consists of administrative and clinical professionals at different levels. At the top is a Board of Directors that oversees the operations of our organization and its strategic direction. Beneath the board are executives, including Chief Executive Officer, Chief Medical Officer, Chief Financial Officer and other senior leaders. These individuals manage financial resources, operational decisions, staff development processes, patient services and more.
On the operational level are departmental directors who create and implement policies specific to their departments such as nursing, lab services or radiology. Departmental managers use these policies to guide their teams in providing high standards of care for patients within our facility.
At each level there are coordinators who facilitate day-to-day operations by organizing tasks assigned to them by higher-level personnel such as department heads or CFOs. They also provide support to front-line medical staff like registered nurses (RNs) and physical therapists (PTs). The RNs oversee patient care while PTs help rehabilitate post-operative patients or assist with illness management after diagnosis has been established.
The foundation of our hospital’s organizational structure is based on a system composed of cooperative professionals working together towards patient satisfaction while using best practices in healthcare delivery methods.
