Developing a culture of evidence based practice
1) Reaching the targeted audience: It can be difficult to ensure the message is reaching the intended audience, as there are numerous ways for it to be disseminated. For example, if an organization is relying on social media platforms such as Twitter or Facebook to spread their message, they may not be able to guarantee that everyone in their target demographic is exposed to it.
2) Limited resources and budget: Dissemination strategies typically require a certain level of resources and budget in order to be effective. For example, while utilizing print media may provide good reach but it can also be expensive depending on what type of advertisement (e.g., newspaper or magazine ad) is used. Additionally, some methods require additional personnel or specialized equipment; this could further add costs which may not always fit into an organization’s budget.
