Influencing social change | NURS 6630 – Psychopharmacologic Approaches to Treatment of Psychopathology | Walden University
As a nurse practitioner, I would strive to become a social change agent for psychiatric mental health by advocating for policy changes, increasing public awareness of mental health issues, and providing resources and support for those affected. This could include participating in legislative campaigns or lobbying efforts aimed at improving access to mental healthcare services; organizing events such as workshops or seminars that educate the public about psychiatric disorders; and providing individualized assistance to individuals who are struggling with mental illness. Additionally, I could work with local organizations to create programs designed to help those living with psychiatric illnesses find employment opportunities, educational support services, or housing assistance. By taking these steps, I believe I can make a difference in the lives of individuals suffering from psychiatric illnesses and promote positive social change within my community.
