reading reflections chapter 21 and 22 ( nursing theory)
I think the Expectancy Theory is an interesting concept. It suggests that motivation comes from a person’s expectation that their efforts will lead to desirable outcomes, and, in turn, they will be rewarded for their performance. This theory has implications in the workplace because it emphasizes the importance of creating incentives and rewards to motivate employees to achieve better results. I also appreciate how this theory focuses on individual differences and not just generalizations about what motivates people in general.
