discussion 03: universal health care | 4070D-Regulatory Enviroment in Health Care | National American University
No, universal health care would not be detrimental to the US economy. In fact, numerous studies have shown that implementing a system of universal healthcare would help to reduce costs for individuals and businesses in the long run. Universal healthcare ensures that all citizens have access to basic medical services which can lead to better incident management and preventative care. Additionally, with fewer people uninsured or underinsured, there is likely to be less of an economic burden on hospitals and other medical facilities as they face fewer unpaid bills or debts from patients who are unable to make payments.
