Leading as a practice scholar
Establishing personal credibility as a leader involves demonstrating integrity, trustworthiness, and respect. Leaders should practice what they preach by setting an example for others to follow. This includes being consistent in how rules and regulations are enforced, following through on commitments, recognizing contributions of team members, and maintaining open lines of communication with employees. Moreover, leaders must be honest and transparent about their decisions to foster mutual understanding between staff members and management. Lastly, effective leaders show empathy towards their teams which helps build strong relationships based on mutual respect and understanding.
