How would you rank the importance of each of the four principles? 

I believe that all four principles of bioethics should be given equal priority in the context of healthcare practice; this is what is ethically sound and will lead to most just outcomes. The four principles are autonomy, beneficence, nonmaleficence, and justice; they should not be utilized hierarchically as they are equally important and complement each other in a moral framework.

In the context of the Christian biblical narrative, I would order these principles as follows: firstly justice for it emphasizes treating people fairly and justly regardless of their background; second is beneficence which stresses doing good in regards to helping others or providing services that increase an individual’s well-being; thirdly nonmaleficence which requires providing treatment without causing any harm whatsoever to those receiving care; fourthly autonomy by respecting individuals rights over their own bodies while working collaboratively with them on treatments. These priorities represent how the Bible calls us not only to protect our society but also individuals within it through love and compassion, putting emphasis on upholding human dignity foremost above everything else.
