I recently completed a tutorial on JavaScript and AJAX from the website www.w3schools.com. This tutorial was an introduction to understanding how JavaScript and AJAX work together to provide dynamic user experiences on the web. With my finance major, I plan to use this knowledge in order to develop more effective web applications for financial research, analysis, and presentation of data.
Within financial studies, having fast access to accurate information is paramount; through proper implementation of JavaScript and AJAX on financial websites, I can create better tools that allow users quicker access to relevant data using dynamic navigation features such as pull-down menus or interactive graphs that update automatically when underlying data is changed/updated by researchers or analysts. In addition, these technologies will allow me to create user interfaces with built-in validations for input fields or calculations performed within spreadsheets ensuring accuracy of results generated by end-users applications before submitting them online for further processing (e.g., pricing models).
The ability to generate quick visual representations from gathered information allows users faster comprehension while investors receive up to date market statistics without needing manual refreshes of page content provided they have enabled allowing scripts and cookies within their browsers prior accessing such sites utilizing said technologies
